This site chronicles the building of a replica BN Morris canoe.
It is a sixteen footer, originally described by the BN Morris company as a Type 2 Model A.
The canoe is of traditional cedar and canvas construction.
The original
was built around 1900, and was owned by my grandfather, who passed it on to my father.
It is presently based at a small pond in New Hampshire.
